Specialist individual support encompasses services that provide a short-term, time-limited break for the carer and the person with disability through a range of activities. The services may be provided in the person’s own home or in a range of community settings – including recreational or cultural activities away from home. The primary purpose of the service is to provide respite for the carers.

About CASS Group-based Activity Centres (Flexible Respite)
In-Home Support:
- Personal care;
- Laundry / Shopping assistance;
- Meal preparation;
- Medication supervision;
- Transport / mobility assistance; and
- Any other emergency support.
Away from Home Support:
- Arranging & assisting to attend social / cultural / recreational activities;
- Community access programs;
- Interest classes;
- Centre based programs;
- Individual programs; and
- Any other programs tailored for individual needs.
