Specialist individual support encompasses services that provide a short-term, time-limited break for the carer and the person with disability through a range of activities. The services may be provided in the person’s own home or in a range of community settings – including recreational or cultural activities away from home. The primary purpose of the service is to provide respite for the carers.

About CASS Group-based Activity Centres (Flexible Respite)

In-Home Support:
  • Personal care;
  • Laundry / Shopping assistance;
  • Meal preparation;
  • Medication supervision;
  • Transport / mobility assistance; and
  • Any other emergency support.
Away from Home Support:
  • Arranging & assisting to attend social / cultural / recreational activities;
  • Community access programs;
  • Interest classes;
  • Centre based programs;
  • Individual programs; and
  • Any other programs tailored for individual needs.
